Horsham residents have higher levels of qualification than residents across the whole of West Sussex and the South East region. 94% of the District's working population has a qualification of NVQ Level 1 equivalent or above compared to 84% nationally, and 42% hold a qualification of NVQ4 or the equivalent.

The Horsham District benefits from outstanding state schools and colleges, with exceptionally high levels of educational attainment at primary, secondary and sixth form levels.

The District is also home to many independent schools, including the world famous Christ's Hospital School, established in 1552 by King Edward V1 and supported by a charitable foundation.

The Japanese Rikkyo School is based in the District, which offers the International Baccalureate.

Four Universities are within 30 minutes of the District providing a pool of graduates and opportunities for business or families.

The quality of Horsham's educational amenities is highlighted in the level of qualifications held by Horsham District residents, which in general is much higher than the South East average. For details see up-to-date qualification figures.
