Alcohol Advice and Training in the Workplace

Horsham Wellbeing is offering free Alcohol specific Identification & Brief Advice training for workplaces, tailored to your business in design and delivery.

This new service, run by Dan Barritt, is part of a wider role commissioned by Public Health West Sussex to provide support to drinkers with a high or increasing risk. In addition to the bespoke training for employees at local businesses, the programme will provide:

  • Free and confidential one-to-one sessions
  • Ongoing support for up to 12 weeks
  • Alcohol specific (and wider) health information, resources and advice
  • Referral to other wellbeing and alcohol support services as required
  • Follow up calls from the Wellbeing Service at 3 months after the end of sessions

For more information, contact Dan Barritt on 01403 215191 / 01403 215111, or by email at dan.barritt@horsham.gov.uk.

What is the Wellbeing Service?

Horsham Wellbeing is a FREE service offering friendly information and advice about a range of health and wellbeing issues for people living and working in Horsham district.

The Wellbeing team works across the community and can come to your workplace to carry out Wellbeing MOTs on your staff or arrange onsite NHS checks and continue to offer support afterwards. They can also work with you to improve productivity and reduce staff turnover, overheads and litigation, and leave you with a healthier, happier workforce by assisting you with a journey towards a Healthy Workplace Award.

For more information on healthchecks or the award, email Beverley Young at beverley.young@horsham.gov.uk.
