Based on an Experian report in September 2010, Horsham was shown to be the seventh most resilient district in the country in terms of its ability to withstand the recession.

Horsham District Local Food and Drink Guide 2013

FOR THOSE who haven’t yet got their hands on a copy of the Horsham District Local Food and Drink Guide 2013, which includes all this year’s Festival offers, don’t miss out!

This year’s Guide showcases more than 100 businesses and acts as a directory for referencing many of the District’s food and drink producers, retailers and eateries.

Not only that, it is the definitive guide to the Festival, organised by Horsham District Council, and is crammed full of special offers and events, courtesy of the participating businesses.

If people are passionate about food and drink and where it comes from, then they’re in for a real treat this year.

The 2013 Festival takes place between Saturday 31 August and Sunday 29 September and is organised by Horsham District Council with fantastic support from local businesses - without their support the Festival would not be possible.

Lots of businesses are sponsoring the Festival this year: West Sussex County Council, Federation of Small Businesses, The District Post, Weekend Herald, West Sussex County Times, West Sussex Gazette, Etc magazine, Foundry Press and the South Downs National Park.

Following the success of the fantastic Big Nibble event in Horsham, the month long Festival takes place right across the District and there’s plenty of choice for everyone, making it an excellent opportunity to explore what the District’s local businesses have to offer.

If food lovers want to take part they will need to have a copy of the guide with them when they are out on their travels, as many of the offers ask that they show it to qualify.

And people are reminded not to throw it away once the Festival is over as it can be used all year round.

Steyning: The Festival within a Festival

This year, inspired by the success of the annual Horsham District Food & Drink Festival, Steyning business owners are also organising a programme of events and a selection of special offers to complement the District Festival offer.

Nestled at the foot of the South Downs and with a beautiful High Street, Steyning’s Festival will include a guided tour of the breweries of yesteryear; a ‘safari supper’ dinner with a  different course in four high street restaurants and discounts in over 20 food shops in the town.
