National Awards for Responsible Businesses

Entries close on Saturday 31st of January for the inaugural National CSR Awards, celebrating Corporate Social Responsibility in sustainability, carbon offsetting, community development, staff welfare and education.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is often its own reward, whether it be in greater engagement with employees and the community, or monetary savings through energy efficiency measures. However, that doesn’t mean businesses can’t get a few extra perks from it as well. CSR can help build trust and goodwill among customers and stakeholders, but to do that businesses need to get their message out there.

The National CSR Awards, founded by Business@Brooklands, will give national exposure to winners and other short-listed entries as socially responsible businesses at the forefront of ethical capitalism. The award categories cover environmental responsibility, community development and staff welfare, and each category is further split into sub-categories for SMEs, large organisations and the public sector. Any initiative or project to have taken place in 2012, 2013 or 2014 will be eligible.

The awards event will be held on Friday 6th of March, and will feature a showcase of CSR initiatives, allowing organisations to share experiences on how to get the most from CSR, along with special offers. Entry to the event will be free for all winners and shortlisted entries in any of the categories.

Remember – the deadline for entry is Saturday 31st of January. Visit the National CSR Awards website for more information and to enter.
