Workshop Programme on Selling to Buyers

As part of the lead in to their “Meet the Buyers” event, Gatwick Diamond offering a FREE workshop programme to help businesses increase their skills and win new business.

These workshops, sponsored in part by Horsham District Council, are intended to prepare sellers for private sales meetings such as the ones businesses could face at the event on 7 July, with the first two classes focussing on preparing and presenting a tender. The third workshop is more specific to potential Gatwick Airport suppliers.

Workshop 1: Understanding procurement and writing winning bids

Wednesday 29 April, 9.30am to 12.30pm, at Crawley Civic Hall, Crawley, RH10 1UZ

Writing a good tender isn’t just about quoting the lowest price. It involves many aspects including compliance, service quality, resources, skills and experience to name just a few. Within this three hour workshop you’ll gain the basics and learn the latest techniques used in successful tender writing.

Workshop 2: Pitching, Presenting and Closing Skills to Gain More Business

Wednesday 20 May, 9.30am to 12.30pm, at The Capitol, Horsham, RH12 1RG

How do you prepare for a meeting with a public or corporate buyer and how and when do you close during the meeting? Presented by Colin Spiller, ZENIS Limited, this workshop will utilise interactive sessions which will help to improve and tailor your pitching and closing skills to your offering and the opportunity.

Workshop 3: Understanding Airport Procurement

Thursday 11 June, 9.30am to 12.30pm (Venue to be confirmed)

This workshop gives you the chance to hear directly from Gatwick Airport. The speakers will discuss their upcoming projects, current procurement needs and the standards required to supply to the Gatwick Supply Chain.
