West Sussex County Council Launches the New 2012-13 Social Enterprise Fund

West Sussex County Council is delighted to announce the launch of the Social Enterprise Fund for this financial year 2012-2013.

The new Social Enterprise Fund has been set up to support County’s role in promoting and supporting active communities and business in West Sussex.

The Social Enterprise Fund provides funding to enterprises which meet certain criteria. A social enterprise could be defined, for example, as a charity or charitable organisation, a community interest company, a co-operative or similar organisation, or a staff mutual.

To find out more about the process and criteria to bid for this fund you are invited to attend one of these 1/2 day workshops as follows:

22nd May morning- Crawley (Crawley Library)
25th May morning-Worthing (Field Place)
28th May morning-Billingshurst (Billingshurst Community and Conference Centre)
31st May morning-Chichester (University of Chichester)
 
To help you develop ideas, a business plan and a budget for your bid you are invited to attend one of these full day workshops as follows:

26th June (north of the county-venue to be confirmed)
29th June (south of the county-venue to be confirmed).

Guidelines and application form will be available shortly from http://www.westsussex.gov.uk/sef and from http://www.wssen.org.uk/.

To book your place at any of these workshops please email social.enterprise@westsussex.gov.uk, indicating clearly date and venue of the workshop you wish to attend in addition to your contact details (name, organisation, email and telephone number).  

These workshops are to assist you with your potential bid for the SEF and we look forward to seeing you then.  You may submit a bid irrespective of whether you attend one of these workshops.

The deadline for submissions is the 30th July 2012 and results will be announced in October or earlier if possible.
