Sustainable Routes Offer Grants To Small Sustainable Businesses

Sustainable Routes can offer a grant of up to £1,000 to businesses who want to cut travel costs by adopting new ways of working.

If your business meets the following criteria there is an opportunity to focus on business travel and come up with ideas that will save you money:

-          a small or medium sized enterprise (SME) employing fewer than 250 people

-          has been trading for at least two years and

-          is located in the South East of England - Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes, Hampshire andIsle of Wight,Kentand Medway, Oxfordshire, Surrey andSussex,

The project has been funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the South East ERDF Competitiveness Programme 2007-2013.

Typical projects that have been funded in the past include (but are not limited to) laptops to enable staff to work from home, video conferencing equipment, LPG conversions, cycles and cycle storage.

 Register at to be in with a chance of applying for a grant.

Partners for the programme include Milton Keynes Council, Buckinghamshire County Council and Reading Borough Council, who all detail Sustainable Routes on their website.
