Horsham restaurant awarded a Michelin star

THERE’S a star in the midst in Horsham after local restaurant Tristan was awarded a prestigious Michelin star award.

The Michelin Guide awards one to three stars to restaurants of outstanding quality across Europe each year.

The list of restaurants receiving recognition this year was recently announced and Tristan joins 15 other restaurants being awarded their first British star in 2012.

Tristan joins The Pass restaurant at South Lodge Hotel in Horsham, which also has a Michelin star and kept its award this year.

Cllr Helena Croft, Horsham District Council’s Cabinet Member for Communication, Special Projects and Horsham Town, said:

“I want to add my congratulations to Tristan for this prestigious award!

“For those who have visited the restaurant I'm sure they will agree it is very well deserved.

“This only re-enforces the fantastic eating experience thatEast Streetin Horsham now offers through a variety of high quality restaurants.

“A huge well done to the staff and owners of Tristan!”

The news comes just months after the Horsham District was named the fifth best place to live in the UK in a survey run by Experian.
