Based on an Experian report in September 2010, Horsham was shown to be the seventh most resilient district in the country in terms of its ability to withstand the recession.

Horsham Microbiz - an essential diary date for a business

Saturday 9 March 2013
Drill Hall, Denne Road, Horsham.

If anyone owns a business then the Drill Hall in Denne Road, Horsham, is the place to be on Saturday 9 March 2013 as it is the venue for what will be the biggest and best Horsham Microbiz yet. On one day, in one place, visitors will be able to access 40 exhibitors, take their pick from eight free seminars and the best bit - there is no charge to visit.

What is Microbiz?
Microbiz is organised by Horsham District Council to support the Horsham District business community. Now into its eleventh year, the original idea for Microbiz came from research carried out by the Council in 2002 with local businesses.

The research revealed that many business owners wanted to attend high value local networking events, keep up to date with legislation, access useful business information and source products and services locally. And so Microbiz was born!

A treasure trove with 40 exhibitors, carefully selected because they offer products or services that are of real value to a small business and anyone thinking of starting up in business.

There are also eight seminars, which are really focused on helping businesses. The event kicks off at 10am and finishes at 4pm.

Unlike many other business events, thanks to the generosity of sponsors, it is FREE to visitors and there is no need to book to attend.

Improving through feedback
Each year Horsham Microbiz gains in popularity, a direct result of feedback from visitors and exhibitors.  The original concept from the first event in 2003 remains the same and each subsequent year it is updated and refreshed to give a new visitor experience.

Visitor comments from Microbiz 2012 include:
“Such useful seminars and relevant exhibitors – I stayed all day and forfeited lunch!”

“I found everyone friendly and very approachable”

“Came along for a quick visit, but stayed all day and found new friends and mentors”

“A good experience to learn more about the many aspects of starting a new business”

“Brilliant – just what we needed – so many questions answered”
